The State Hermitage Museum

The most famous museum of St Petersburg is a
home to the outstanding collection of art and artefacts

The Russian Museum

The first state museum of the Russian art has a huge
collection contains about 400 000 pieces of the
Russian art from icons and Old Russian applied art to
modern works.  You will need a whole day to visit all

The Peter and Paul Fortress

This is the place Saint Petersburg started from. The
fortress was built to protect the city from Swedish
attacks, but it was never used for it. Now it is the
museum complex telling a 300-year history of the city.

rarities. Now its exhibition halls contain a large variety

The National Pushkin Museum

The famous Russian poet Alexander Pushkin spent in
this house his last days and hours. Here is the chance
to see his apartments as they were in 1837. The
Museum also holds tens of thousands of works of art
connected with Pushkin's life, work and epoch.  
The Cruiser Aurora

Visit the ship that is the symbol of  the October
Revolution.  It  became famous by a blank shot made
from the ship's guns as a signal for  the start of the
assault on the Winter Palace in October 1917.
