A bit tired, trying to visit all the interesting
places in St Petersburg? Take a break  in
one of St Petersburg parks and gardens.

Stroll through the
Summer Garden, the
oldest garden in St Petersburg, with its
300-years-old trees and beautiful marble
sculptures.

Enjoy the view of the Mikhailovsky castle
from the
Field of Mars. with Eternal Flame
in memory of the victims of the revolution.
The Mikhailovsky Garden is laid out as a classical English garden in its middle and as
the French layout – along its perimeter. A unique fence surrounds the garden from the
side of the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood.

Tavrichesky Garden and Yusupov Garden, both laid out in XVIII century, are also very
nice place for a walk in any season.

If you are visiting the State Hermitage Museum, don't miss the
Alexander Garden, which
is located behind the Admiralty and next to Palace Square. You will find the Medny
Vsadnik monument in its corner that is close to the crossroads of Admiralteyskaya
embankment and Dekabristov proyezd.
St Petersburg Botanic Garden, the oldest botanic
garden in Russia,  has a rich outdoor and indoor
collection.

Its greenhouses (1 hectare in area) contain more
than 7,5 thousand of plants such as azaleas, ferns,
cacti, palms, orchids and others.
