The State Academic Capella

and you will have an opportunity to listen
to the brilliant symphonic music and
choral singing or to see a wonderful
ballet close to Dvortsovaya Square.
The year 1479 can be considered as the
year of the birth of the State Academic
Capella. The State chorus was
established by decree of Ivan III in
Moscow that year.
The chorus had its long history and in the
year 1810 it got the building on the Moika
River embankment for its needs.
In 1856 the choral school was founded.
Now the State Academic Capella is a
concert organization which includes the
chorus and symphony orchestra and is
famous all over tha world.
A wide range of concerts and music
competitions take place in the Capella’s
building.
